Our approach to Julien Bakers 2024 Tour was to provide a design that reflected the themes in her music, with a minimal design capable of massive movements, all while meeting budget and venue requirements.  The concept of love and pain was central to the design, and were physically presented by two monoliths upstage.  We observed how these ideas interact with each other to determine the approach with programming and movements. Sometimes, love & pain are just undercurrents to our daily lives, and other times abrasive and monumental. We used everything from color juxtaposition to blaring visual effects.
